Kurt Karst, an architect from Idaho falls, designed this inspiring memorial to integrate the beauty of natural elements with a message of hope. This memorial includes a Quote Wall with words of presidents and slaves, children and philosophers, inscribed to inspire hope and reflection. It also includes a life-size statue of Anne Frank. Autumn is a wonderful time to visit the memorial because of the seasonal transition from summer. This area is filled with gorgeous trees and is located close to the Greenbelt.
This history-filled location is a center for educators and locals alike. An educational center is being built nearby to support programming that details the history and importance of human rights.
Freak Alley Gallery
This Boise local favorite started about nine years ago and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Freak Alley is the largest outdoor mural gallery in the Northwest, showcasing local artist graffiti and murals in a massive display. It’s free and open to the public 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
